A town official said Tuesday that she wants the town to consider buying a 27-acre lakefront parcel in Ballston Lake to develop into a park.
A six-figure purchase price, however, could prove to be a major sticking point in any possible acquisition.
"I could see it being a lovely town park," said Councilwoman Nancy Bellamy, a longtime Ballston Lake resident.
As opposed to the eastern part of town with its sprawling subdivisions dating from the 1960s, Ballston Lake in the northwestern corner consists largely of small, older homes, many of them converted camps.
